Bio Green Electric Greenhouse Heater “Palma”
The Palma is the ideal solution for smaller greenhouses in which space is scare. Due to its compact shape, slip-resistant rubber feet and its practical carrying handle, it can be used almost anywhere. 110 Volt, 1500W output.
Modine Hot Dawg Natural Gas or Liquid Propane Gas Heater
The standard in gas fired unit heaters, the Modine Hot Dawg has a “hush-puppy” quiet operation, beating the competition. Available in either natural gas or liquid propane, this heater is commonly mounted at ceiling height and exhausted out the gable end of your greenhouse.
Bio Green Electric Greenhouse Heater “Phoenix”
The new heater and fan Phoenix was specially developed for plant cultivation and overwintering in the greenhouse. Phoenix is made of stainless steel and runs quietly and powerfully, evenly distributing the heat.
Vents & Vent Openers
The proper type of ventilation is a must to keep your greenhouse from over-heating. Whether you’re growing in a hot house or a cold house, your greenhouse needs ventilation. We have a selection of passive ventilation options for your needs.
Bayliss Solar Powered Vent Opener
The standard Bayliss opener has an adjustable operating temperature between 55 & 75F (13-18C). Upgrades are available with the Orchid Wax for hot-house environments, and the Hydraulicheck opener for high wind areas up to 90 MPH gusts. Replacement cylinders are available for purchase with a one year warranty.
Side Vent
Single bay or double wide side vents allow for added passive ventilation. Available with your choice of vent opener and optional insect screen.
Glass Louvres – $295
Glass louvres have the largest ratio of opening space and are perfect for replacing a pane of glass for extra ventilation. Louvres are manual and only available in single glass.
Exhaust Fans
Exhaust fan shutters are available in packages which include a motorized intake shutter and thermostat, or can be purchased separately. The typical greenhouse environment can use up to 1 air change per minute during peak high temperatures. Exhaust fan packages allow the greenhouse to exchange air with the outdoor environment to reduce overheating and to aid in normalizing the greenhouse temperature. We can help you choose the right size and number of exhaust fans for your greenhouse design.
10″ Exhaust Fan Package – $1295
This fan package allows for maximum 690 CFM (cubic feet per minute) which is perfect for an 8 x 12 greenhouse. When your greenhouse reaches your set temperature, the thermostat opens the motorized intake shutter and turns on the exhaust fan, drawing air through and cross ventilating your greenhouse.
14″ Exhaust Fan Package – $1795
This fan package allows for maximum 2170 CFM (cubic feet per minute) for use in greenhouses up to 16 x 20 in size. When your greenhouse reaches your set temperature, the thermostat opens the motorized intake shutters and turns on the exhaust fan, drawing air through and cross ventilating your greenhouse.
18″ Exhaust Fan Package – $1840
This fan package allows for maximum 3200 CFM (cubic feet per minute) for use in greenhouses up to 20 x 20 in size. When your greenhouse reaches your set temperature, the thermostat opens the motorized intake shutters and turns on the exhaust fan, drawing air through and cross ventilating your greenhouse.
Caframo Fan – $40
This quality, made in Canada, two-speed circulating fan is perfect for keeping your greenhouse environment healthy. Plug it into any 120V outlet and let it run.
Decorative Options
Visual effects such as wagon wheels on the gables, decorative gutters, transoms, and decorative ridge cresting add distinct design to your custom greenhouse.
Decorative Ridge Cresting
The heavy duty, cast aluminum cresting and finials adorn the ridge of your greenhouse which creates that beautiful English look. This custom made cresting is available in any color and is sold to fit the greenhouse at $45 per lineal foot. Finials, the architectural detailing at the end of the cresting, are $45 each.
Transoms
Fixed or operable transoms are an option for upgraded greenhouses with single piece glass.
Commercial Storefront Doors
If the greenhouse is part of the overall security envelope of your home, this fully assembled professional aluminum door is insulated with tempered safety glass and durable keyed deadbolt lock. Every door comes with your option of custom color and finish, door pulls, hardware, and panic bars.
Decorative Pressure Cap
It is a wider profile aluminum beauty cover that gives the look of a more substantial structure (glazing bar) without the cost. Our standard hobby glazing bars have exposed screws and hardware where the decorative pressure cap (also called beauty cap) creates a high style, clean finish that is very popular with homeowners who would like a garden conservatory in their yard and prefer a more finished trim.
Decorative Gutter
Decorative gutter provides a distinctive, finished look that is pleasing to the eye. Our decorative gutter also has functional purpose for your greenhouse. Combined with a downspout, the gutter system will expel water where you want it to go. Our decorative gutter system has a beautiful Victorian profile and is available in any finish or color. You can choose a full wraparound gutter system or choose the best location for form or function.
Decorative Base Panels
The newest design feature offered for Cross Country greenhouses, the decorative base panels are a great option for those homeowners wanting a fully finished appearance for their greenhouse. This high style panel eliminates the need and cost of a concrete foundation as all that is needed is just one row of 4×4’s! The panels are now available in any color or size of greenhouse for single tempered glass.
